State House "Weapons" Bill No Longer A ThreatThe bill to ban "weapons" in the Vermont State House, S.338, is dead, declared Senate President Peter Shumlin. Senator John Campbell, the lone sponsor of the bill and Senate Majority Leader, has approved of the action to terminate any progress of the S.338. A companion bill may emerge in the House of Representatives. But, it cannot be passed into law without concurrence from the senate, and Senate President Shumlin has now made it crystal clear no such bill will pass in the senate.
