Missisquoi Valley Sportsman’s Club Annual Fishing Derby Held

The Missisquoi Valley Sportsman’s Club held it's annual fishing derby on Sunday, May 21. Eighty one kids participated, ranging in age from 2 to 13. The derby is open to all children and the number of participants has grown consistently over the past few years. All the participants got small prizes of bobbers, hooks, swivels, etc. and the winners in the various age groups got creels, nets or fishing rods as prizes. The first fish of the day was turned in about thirty seconds after the official start of the derby.
