2009 Vermont Legislator's Shoot

On Thursday afternoon April 30, the Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs arranged for the Barre Fish & Game to host the 2009 Legislator's Shoot" an annual firearm introduction session for members of the Vermont Legislature. Approximately a dozen legislators were able to break away from their duties at the state house to attend this event.

The Norwich University shooting club led the shooting instruction, which offered legislators an opportunity to experience an enjoyable shooting experience with certified and experienced instructors on a safe range. Barre Fish & Game personnel performed facilities and range support services.

This event was the third Legislator's Shoot which are conducted each year during the waning days of the legislative session.

Senator Bill "Bulls Eye" Doyle once again provided a demonstration of top gun shooting, as he did two years ago at the Legislator's Shoot at the Montpelier Gun Club on the trap range.
