Applying for the 2010 NRA shooting event grants administered by the Federation

The NRA State Committee in Vermont has funded NRA Day (formerly called Sport Shooting Camp) and Women On Target grants in the amount of $1,000.00 or $500.00 in 2010 for each event held. For more specific information on what kind of events can be performed as an NRA Day, see Shooting Sports Camps (NRA has renamed this type of event to be "NRA Day" but has not yet changed the name on their web site.) . The funding for these events is provided from the profits from Vermont's six Friends of NRA Banquets.

How to Apply

• The type of event your organization seeks to have funded. The name of your organization, the site, date and hours of the event to be conducted.
• Agreement to have the event be open to the public, credit the NRA Foundation for its funding in any materials, advertising, publicity or signage for the event.
• That the funding will be used to acquire firearm(s) ammunition, targets, eye and ear protection, signage, refreshments, flyers or other advertising to promote the event. Any unused funds will be returned to the Federation, for return to the NRA Foundation.
• Provide the name and telephone numbers for three available contact persons associated with the requesting organization.
• Agree to submit a Final Report to the Federation relating the date the event was held, and how many people attended. Also, to provide with the final report copies of invoices or receipts for expenses incurred in conducting the event.

The grant request is to be submitted via E-mail to VTGuns@aol.com or by sending three copies of the grant request in an envelope marked NRA SHOOTING EVENT GRANT APPLICATION ENCLOSED and mailed to:
